🥪 A BIG Thank You! ❤️🚔

The German Township Police Department would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Farmersville Cafe/Farmer in the Deli for thinking of our officers and German Township Road Department workers and bringing us some absolutely delicious sandwiches! 🥪😋

Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated! It means a lot to know that our local businesses and community members continue to support the people who work hard to keep our community safe and our roads maintained.

The sandwiches were a hit—and definitely fueled the crew for the rest of the day! 💪

Thank you again for your generosity and for being such a great part of our community! ❤️

From all of us at German Township Police and the German Township Road Department—thank you! 👏

The German Township Police Department was proud to participate in the Anti-Bullying Campaign at Valley View Elementary School—and we had a pretty BIG special guest join us! 👀

Optimus Prime rolled into Valley View to help spread an important message: Be kind. Be brave. Stand up for others. And don’t be a bully.

Our officers had a great time joining the students and Optimus Prime in promoting kindness, respect, and looking out for one another. Because sometimes being a hero doesn’t mean having superpowers—it means having the courage to stand up for someone who needs it. 💪

A huge thank-you to Valley View Elementary for inviting us to be part of such an important campaign. We’re always proud to partner with our schools and our community to help make sure every student feels safe, supported, and valued.

🚔 Valley View + German Township Police + Optimus Prime = One powerful anti-bullying team!

🚜 FARMING SEASON IS HERE! 🌾

As harvest season gets underway, you’ll likely see more farm equipment traveling on our roadways. Tractors, combines, and other agricultural equipment can be large, wide, slow-moving, and may take up a significant portion of the roadway.

👀 Please slow down, stay alert, and give farm equipment plenty of room. If you come up behind a slow-moving vehicle, be patient and do not attempt to pass unless it is safe and legal to do so.

Farmers are working hard to get crops harvested, and we want everyone—farmers and motorists alike—to make it home safely. A few extra minutes of patience can make a big difference!

🚜 Share the road. Slow down. Stay safe.

From all of us at the German Township Police Department, have a safe and successful harvest season!

The Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center is now using Smart911, a free service that allows residents to create a personal Safety Profile with information that can help 9-1-1 call takers and first responders during an emergency.

Residents choose what information they want to include in their profile, which can include
medical needs, household members, pets, emergency contacts, home information and
other important details.

When you call 9-1-1 from a phone associated with your Smart911 profile, the information
you have provided is made available to the dispatcher. This can give dispatchers
important details about you and your household while they are responding to your
emergency.

Smart911 can be especially valuable when a caller is unable to communicate important
information, whether due to an injury, medical emergency or other circumstances. The
information provided through a Safety Profile can give dispatchers additional insight into
the situation and assist in coordinating the appropriate response.

Creating a profile does not give dispatchers ongoing access to a resident’s personal
information, and the service is not a tracking system. The information in a Safety Profile is
made available to dispatchers when a resident calls 9-1-1 from a verified phone
associated with the profile. Residents remain in control of the information they choose to
provide.

“Smart911 gives residents another tool to help us help them during an emergency,” said
Montgomery County Sheriff Rob Streck. “Residents choose what information they want to
provide, and that information can give our dispatchers important details when they
receive a 9-1-1 call.”

Residents can create a free Smart911 profile by visiting www.Smart911.com.

Due to an ongoing phone system issue, the German Township Police Department’s office phones have been down for the past two days.

If you need non-emergency police assistance, please contact the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch non-emergency line at 937-855-7211.

As always, if you have an emergency, call 911 immediately.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue. We will provide an update as soon as our office phone lines are restored.

🎙️ LIVE from German Township... it's the matchup nobody saw coming! 🏁
It all started with one simple question from our Admin's daughter...

"Do you think I can beat a cop in a foot chase?" 🤔🏃‍♀️👮

Naturally, our officers couldn't let that challenge go unanswered.

In today's featured event...

👮 In the blue corner: Two of our finest, trained in foot pursuits and determined not to lose.

🏃‍♀️ In the red corner: Our Admin's daughter, fueled by confidence, determination... and the belief that she can outrun a police officer.

The officers have experience. The challenger has youth on her side.

The challenge was accepted.

The starting line was set.

The countdown began...

3... 2... 1... GO! 🏃‍♀️💨👮

Who had the faster first step?
Who pulled ahead?
Did experience prevail... or did youth steal the victory?

There's only one way to find out...

🎥 Watch the races and see who crossed the finish line first!

⚠️ No suspects. No citations. Just a little friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and proof that not every foot chase ends with handcuffs. 😄

A huge thank you to Officers Stevens and Parrish for being great sports and playing along. Moments like these remind us that community policing isn't always about flashing lights and sirens—sometimes it's about having a little fun, sharing a few laughs, and making memories.

While I prefer not to discuss the details of this case out of respect for the minors involved, I do want to recognize the outstanding work of the officers who made this investigation a success.

Officer Bateman led this investigation with exceptional professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail. This was truly a team effort, with multiple members of the German Township Police Department working tirelessly in pursuit of justice and in service to our community.

I am incredibly proud of the commitment our officers demonstrate every day. Their dedication to protecting our residents and seeking justice is second to none.

Thank you to Officer Bateman and every officer who played a role in this investigation.

Happy 4th of July from the German Township Police Department! 🎆🇺🇸

We hope everyone has a fantastic Independence Day weekend filled with family, friends, good food, and enough hot dogs to make questionable life choices.

As you're celebrating, please keep a few things in mind:

🎇 Fireworks are fun. Fireworks aimed at your neighbor's shed are not.

🍻 If you're drinking, don't drive. Designate a driver, call a friend, use a rideshare, or spend the night. We promise the back seat of a cruiser is not the VIP transportation package you're looking for.

🚗 Slow down and buckle up. The goal is to arrive at the cookout, not become the topic of conversation at it.

🐾 Remember that fireworks can be scary for pets. If your dog suddenly develops Olympic-level sprinting abilities, make sure they're safely indoors.

🚔 Our officers will be out patrolling throughout the holiday weekend. We'd much rather see your patriotic lawn decorations than your driver's license and proof of insurance.

Most importantly, be respectful of your neighbors. Not everyone wants to hear your fireworks finale at 2:00 a.m.—some people are trying to sleep, and our dispatchers would appreciate fewer calls that begin with, "You're not going to believe what my neighbor is doing..."

Have a safe, fun, and responsible 4th of July weekend, German Township!

🇺🇸 Stay safe. Celebrate smart. And try not to make us famous on social media. 🎆
