Community Conversations, tonight at Houston High School, 6:30 pm! Join us for a round table discussion aimed at making connections between local policy makers, business leaders, special education teachers, faith-based organizations, and parents of individuals with disabilities. Since 2005, the employment rate for Tennesseans with disabilities has steadily declined and recent data indicate that fewer then 17% of the population are working. As a forward thinking community, it is time to have a conversation.

My wish is that everyone, students, parents, teachers, staff, and administration have a wonderful 16-17 school year! Please try to remember..."Patience is a virtue" as we deal with construction, street repair, buses and carpooling!

Very humbled to be recognized as the 1st Chairman of the GMSD last night at the board meeting. I love my job as a school board member! Congratulations to Chairman Linda Fisher as she conducted her first meeting as Chairman!
