RURAL TEXAS HAS TOO MUCH AT STAKE TO IGNORE!
As a lifelong Texan from a strong agricultural family, I know the challenges those who feed and clothe our state face. Farming and ranching are not 9 to 5 jobs. There is livestock to feed, crops to harvest, equipment to repair, and long days that don't stop for an election. But we still must MAKE time to VOTE! Take advantage of early voting starting on Monday!
Right now, rural Texas faces some big challenges:
🚨 MASSIVE DATA CENTERS-Threatening to put more pressure on our water supplies, electricity grid, farmland, and rural infrastructure.
🚨 765-kV TRANSMISSION LINES-Raising serious concerns about eminent domain, private property rights, and the future of family farms and ranches.
🚨 SKY-HIGH DIESEL PRICES-Increases the cost of planting, harvesting and moving farm products and keeping rural businesses alive.
🚨 WATER SCARCITY AND DROUGHT-Threatening agricultural production, rural communities and future generations.
🚨 CORPORATE FARMING MONOPOLIES-Shutting down family farmers and screwing consumers with grocery store prices.
🚨 RISING PROPERTY TAXES, FARM INPUT COSTS AND HEALTHCARE EXPENSES-making it harder and harder to keep family farms running and rural communities thriving.
The End of Multi-Generational Farming, Endangering Texas’ Agricultural Heritage & Economic Future...
These are critical issues in my campaign for Texas Agriculture Commissioner.
My platform includes protecting Texas water, stronger protections for property owners, stopping the proposed 765-kV transmission expansion until it is approved by lawmakers, challenging agricultural monopolies, making farming, food, and everyday life more affordable.
I believe rural Texans deserve transparency, accountability, and real representation in decisions that affect their land, water, livelihoods, and communities.
