to Mid-Autumn Festival at Coronado Elementary! 🏮

As a Mandarin Dual Language Immersion school, Coronado creates opportunities for students to take what they're learning and experience it in meaningful, engaging ways. The Mid-Autumn Festival gave students and families an opportunity to connect classroom learning with traditions and experiences that deepen their understanding of the Mandarin language.

It's another way learning at Coronado extends beyond the classroom and comes to life for students. ✨

A glimpse into the future for our young cheerleaders! 📣

Higley High School recently welcomed cheerleaders from HUSD elementary schools and Sossaman Middle School to join in the excitement of a Knights football game!

This special experience brought students together across campuses, giving younger cheerleaders the opportunity to connect with high school students and see what awaits them as they continue their journey through HUSD.

These cross-campus connections help students build friendships, develop school pride, and get excited about the opportunities ahead! 💙

Giving back is part of the HUSD experience! 💙
Throughout the first quarter, HUSD students made a difference in their communities through donation drives, service projects, and acts of kindness.
At HUSD, responsible citizenship goes beyond the classroom. We're proud to see our students putting these values into action and learning the importance of helping others. 🤝

HUSD is thankful for the parents who lend their voices to help make our schools even stronger. 💙

Superintendent David Loutzenheiser recently met with Parent Ambassadors representing campuses across HUSD. Parents shared their experiences, offered feedback, and brought valuable perspectives to the conversation about how HUSD can continue to improve.

Thank you to our Parent Ambassadors for volunteering your time, representing your school communities, and being an important part of the process! 🤝
