Don't Forget: Voters living within Gilbert Public Schools boundaries in Gilbert and Mesa will decide on a proposed $136 million bond - Proposition 422. Voters last approved a Bond in November 2019.

A bond provides school districts with additional funding for necessary facility capital renovations and for purchasing equipment and technology for instruction.

Capital funding through the annual funding formula is limited and not adjusted for inflation. Because of this fact, Arizona Revised Statutes allow school districts to request bond authorization.

The average age of GPS school buildings is 32 years, with an outstanding renovation backlog of over $250 million for the next five years. By addressing critical needs, we ensure safe, dry, cool, and warm learning spaces that support student success and keep neighborhood buildings safe and well-maintained.

2026 Bond Priorities:
✅Critical facility needs including HVAC, roofs, and restrooms.
✅Secure campus entryways district-wide.
✅Improve instructional spaces for student learning and student success.
✅Improve and maintain technology infrastructure with a focus on secure communications.

Welcome back GPS Family! Thank you to all our students for getting straight back to learning and growing after Fall Break this week!

1. La T de Tigeres! Ms. Valdez’s kindergarten class in Gilbert Elementary were practicing words that begin with the letter T! 💛 From tigers to other terrific T words, little learners are building their letter recognition and growing their vocabulary one word at a time!
2. Huge congratulations to our Campo Verde High Flag Football team for winning the Fiesta Bowl 🏈💚
3. Settler's Point celebrated 50 days of school with a 50s theme! Staff and students went all in :) 🦁
4. 🙌 It’s High Five Friday! Students are having a great day at Canyon Rim Elementary 💜
5. Augusta Ranch Elementary celebrated some very special teachers this week with A+ Teacher Awards from 12 News 🎉
6. 68 Trailblazers from Quartz Hill Elementary were Principals for the Day and visited the district office to design a school with Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jason Martin 🎓🐻

Reminder to vote in the November 3rd election! Next Tuesday, October 27th, is the last day to mail in your ballot, but there are drop-off ballot locations near you to drop off your completed ballot till election day, November 3rd.
