📚📝 SCES Report Card Reminder! ❤️🖤

Report cards were sent home with students today, Thursday, October 15, 2026!

We encourage all parents and guardians to take a few moments to review their child's report card and celebrate their accomplishments.

If you have questions or concerns about your child's grades or would like to schedule a parent-teacher conference, please reach out to your child's teacher through ClassDojo. Our teachers will be happy to work with you to arrange a time to meet and discuss your child's progress.

We appreciate your continued support and partnership as we work together to help every student succeed!

🎲✨ Shake, Spill, and Make a 10! ✨🎲

SCES Math Coach, Miss Johnson, joined Mrs. Patrick's and Mrs. Grayson's first grade classes for some hands-on math fun! ❤️🖤 Our little mathematicians played Shake and Spill to practice making 10 in different ways! 🔟

Through hands-on learning, teamwork, and lots of smiles, our students strengthened their number sense while having a blast! We love making math fun and meaningful! 📚✏️

🪨🌎 ROCKIN’ AND ROLLIN’ WITH SCIENCE AT SCES! 🔍

There was some hands-on learning taking place in Mrs. Turbyfill’s 4th grade classroom today!
Our 4th graders became Rock Detectives as they explored the three types of rocks, rock layers, weathering, and erosion!
Using Play-Doh, students created their own models of Earth's rock layers. They then investigated how weathering breaks rocks apart and how erosion moves materials, changing Earth's surface and exposing older rock layers. They even took core samples to get a closer look at the different rock layers beneath the surface! 🔍🪨
We love seeing our students learning by doing, investigating, and having fun along the way!
Great job, Mrs. Turbyfill and 4th graders! 👏
❤️🖤 Great things are happening at SCES!
