Team History
The Gilroy Gators Swim Team (GGST) was founded in 1970 as a competitive age group swimming program within Gilroy's Parks and Recreation Department. In 1981 the team was incorporated as a non-profit corporation "to promote and encourage grade school and high school children to compete in swimming athletics for their own athletic and educational advancement." Tonight the senior group had some fun! Coach Jud said if Anthony swam a 50 in under 25 second then all Cruisin Crocs and Seniors swimmers could get out of pool. He went 25.04 sooo close!! But they had to finish their set.

CVAL Meet #2 in Monterey! Our Caimans and Mighty Gator group swimmers did an amazing job! Gators were working hard in and out of the water! Cheering each other on and Swimmers getting out there and trying new events for the first time! Way to go Gators! 🐊

Tyler Zibell was on fire 🔥 in the water this past weekend at the Swim South Bay Meet! He took an incredible 3rd place in his 100 Backstroke. He placed 7th in 200 free and 7th in his 100 IM. Tyler’s hard work in practice paid off he PR’d in all Events! Way to go Tyler!
