Realities of rural, volunteer firefighting. When you’re in the fields near by and a call comes out and there’s no time to go back to the truck so you come in on your tractor.

Today, at the Board of Supervisors meeting they recognized the first responders with over 50 years of active service. Congratulations to one of our own, Steve Bowyer with over 52 years of service. Job well done! 🚒

🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget — September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the incredible courage shown by firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, dispatchers, and everyday citizens who stepped forward to help others.

We remember the first responders who ran toward danger while others were running to safety. We honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice that day, those who later lost their lives from 9/11-related illnesses, and the families who continue to carry their memory.

September 11th showed us the very worst of tragedy, but it also showed us the very best of humanity — courage, sacrifice, unity, and service to others.

May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families forever changed.

343 Firefighters. 60 Law Enforcement Officers. 8 EMS Personnel. Thousands of innocent lives.

🇺🇸 Never Forget. 9/11/2001 🇺🇸
