🖤💜 THEY'RE CREEPY AND THEY'RE KOOKY… AND WE'RE INVITING YOU TO JOIN THE FAMILY! 💜🖤

🎭 The Union Grove Lion Players are excited to invite ALL elementary students to our Addams Family-themed Theatre Camp!

And when we say ALL, we mean EVERYONE! 👻

You DO NOT have to attend Union Grove ISD to participate! We welcome students from surrounding school districts, homeschool families, and our entire community! Whether your child has been on stage before or has never stepped foot in a theatre, we would LOVE to have them join us!

🎭 HERE'S THE EXCITING PART!

Every camper will have the opportunity to perform alongside our Union Grove High School Theatre students in our upcoming production of The Addams Family: School Version!

Campers will learn songs, choreography, and what it takes to be part of a full theatrical production. This is a wonderful opportunity for younger students to experience the magic of live theatre!

🦇 CAMP INFORMATION 🦇

📍 Location: Union Grove ISD – The Lion Center

🎒 Grades: Kindergarten–6th Grade

💵 Cost: $40 per camper (includes a camp T-shirt!)

🗓️ Camp/Rehearsal Dates:
- October 24 | 8:00–11:00 AM
- November 7 | 8:00–11:00 AM
- November 8 | 12:00–4:00 PM
- November 14 | 8:00–11:00 AM & 5:00–10:00 PM

⭐ IMPORTANT REHEARSAL INFORMATION! ⭐

We understand that families have busy schedules, and we want to make this opportunity as accessible as possible!

Students must be able to attend AT LEAST ONE of our two camp rehearsals (October 24 or November 7) to participate in the production.

If your child can attend BOTH rehearsals, that's wonderful! However, if they can only attend ONE of those two dates, they are STILL welcome to participate and perform in the show!

We don't want a scheduling conflict with one rehearsal to keep your child from experiencing the magic of theatre! 🎭

National School Bus Safety Week is an important reminder that every student deserves a safe trip to and from school.

Illegal school bus passing is moving in the right direction, but the number of incidents remains too high. An estimated 38.4 million violations occurred during the 2025-2026 school year. That represents an approximately 15% decline over two years, demonstrating that dangerous driving behavior can change while highlighting the need for continued education and awareness.

Keeping students safe requires everyone on the road to understand and reinforce safe behavior around school buses. Drivers should come to a complete stop whenever a school bus's red lights are flashing, and its stop arm is extended. They should remain stopped until the lights turn off, the stop arm retracts, and the bus begins moving. Staying alert and eliminating distractions is critical because children may be crossing the street even when they are not immediately visible.

Parents and caregivers can help by arriving at the bus stop early, teaching children to wait at least 10 feet from the road, and reminding them never to walk behind a school bus. Students should wait until the bus stops completely before approaching, stay where the driver can see them, and look left, right, and left again before crossing the street.

This National School Bus Safety Week, Union Grove ISD encourages everyone to slow down, pay attention, and follow all road safety laws. Together, we can help every student travel to and from school safely.
