Congratulations to Kearney Senior Center, such a vital and thriving community asset!

We are so honored to share that the Kearney Senior Center received the Biggest Community Impact Award at the Kearney Chamber of Commerce Gala! Thank you to the Kearney Chamber for this recognition. It means the world to all of us.

This award really belongs to our AMAZING kitchen volunteers. 💙 Day in and day out, you show up with smiling faces and giving hearts to prep and serve meals for our seniors. You do far more than put food on a plate. You bring friendship, comfort, and a sense of family to everyone who walks through our doors. For many of our seniors, the meal and the kind word that comes with it are the best part of their day.

We truly couldn’t do it without each and every one of you!! Thank you for everything you do. 🙌

And to our seniors: you are the heart of this place! You’re always up for a good time and show up every single day ready for fun, laughs, and a little friendly competition. 🎉 You make the Kearney Senior Center such a special place to be.

Thank you also to our families and community partners. Here’s to many more years of serving Kearney together! ❤️

We loved connecting with everyone who stopped by the Northland Professionals in Aging Clay County Resource Fair at the Gladstone Community Center on October 8! 😊

Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to share information about the many services available to older adults in Clay County and highlight the incredible work of our community partners who help make these services possible.

A big thank-you to everyone who joined us and to our amazing community partners for all they do to support older adults in our community! 💙

Meals on Wheels providers across the USA have now delivered 20 million pet meals nationwide! At the City of Liberty, Mo. Government, Liberty MOWS has been delivering pet food since 2020 to help seniors care for the furry friends who mean so much to them. If you look closely, you may notice one of their staff members, Gina, in this video!

Across the country, older adults are waiting — not just for meals, but for support that allows them to remain at home with their furry friends. Through the Meals on Wheels Loves Pets program, local providers connect seniors with pet food and, in many communities, veterinary support, grooming assis...

We’re proud to support programs that help older adults stay active, healthy, and connected.

Recently, one participant at Excelsior Springs Senior Center set a personal goal of being able to dance with their spouse at their senior center's Silver Prom. After six months of faithfully attending Rise & Thrive and Rest & Restore classes funded by Clay County Senior Services, that goal became a reality. Improved strength, balance, flexibility, and confidence made it possible to share that special moment on the dance floor together. https://www.es-prcc.com/senior-center

Stories like this remind us that programs like Rise & Thrive and Rest & Restore do more than improve physical health—they help older adults maintain their independence, confidence, and quality of life. 💙
