Glasgow Fire District We're at our BEST during your WORST!!! The department is made up of 20 members, 5 of which are EMTs, and 1 paramedic.

We're a small tax supported district that provides EMS, fire, and rescue services to approximately 2,300 people and numerous industries. The department operates out of 1 medical squad, 1 heavy rescue, 2 engines, 1 tanker, 1 brush truck, and 2 boats.

September 21st GFD members trained over attack hose selection and procedures. Firefighters discussed and implemented the different nozzles on our pre-connects in their designated uses.
A pressure gauge was placed at the nozzle to dial in appropriate pressure at the nozzle for the pump operator to calculate friction loss through each line.
Firefighters then covered pump operator basics including when and how to switch between the electronic governor modes of “Pressure / RPM”.

August 24th firefighters of GFD trained on the department’s new “gas sniffer”. This piece of equipment works in conjunction with our 4 gas monitor that detects and provides the level of multiple gasses by the parts per million. This sniffer can help locate the source of the leak.

August 22nd GFD held our annual Glasgow Fireman’s Golf Tournament at Salisbury Municipal Golf Course. We were blessed with perfect weather and a tremendous turnout. This year was one of if not the most successful tournament we’ve ever hosted.
Congratulations to the winning team of Monnig / Littleton.
We would like to thank all of our participants, our gracious hole sponsors (pictured), Sydenstricker Nobbe, M & M Golf Carts, and of course the Salisbury Municipal Golf Course and staff!

GFD’s annual Fireman’s Golf Tournament has reached capacity! While we wish we could accommodate every golfer in the Tri-County area, we are blessed with so much support that we currently have no openings for any more teams. Thank you so much for joining us this year and we can’t wait to see you Saturday!
