Help keep our community safe by properly disposing of unused or expired medications. Safe disposal helps prevent medication misuse and protects our families, neighbors, and environment.

📍 Did you know? Rowan University Police Department is a 24/7 medication collection site! You can safely drop off eligible medications anytime, day or night.

The Rowan University Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the Philadelphia Police Department following the tragic line-of-duty death of **Police Officer Shane Seiber**, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting the City of Philadelphia.

Today, we stand united with our brothers and sisters in blue as we mourn the loss of Officer Seiber, whose courage, dedication, and commitment to public service will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Seiber's family, friends, fellow officers, and the entire Philadelphia Police Department during this incredibly difficult time. We also extend our prayers and support to the officer injured during this tragic incident.

**Officer Shane Seiber, your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.**

Security Officer Egizi has a passion for soccer, so when first and second year medical students asked him to referee their soccer game, he was more than happy to step onto the field and help out!

At the Rowan University Police Department, our role goes beyond safety and security. We’re proud to be part of the Rowan community and always willing to lend a hand, whether it’s on campus, in the classroom, or even on the soccer field! 👮‍♂️⚽️

🚶‍♀️ PEDESTRIAN SAFETY ENFORCEMENT DETAIL 🚶‍♂️

The Rowan University Police Department is committed to keeping our campus community safe.

On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, RUPD will conduct a Pedestrian Safety Enforcement Detail focused on promoting safe driving and protecting pedestrians throughout our community.

While this detail is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, pedestrian safety is a priority ALL DAY. EVERY DAY.

🚸 Drivers: Slow down, stay alert, and watch for pedestrians at crosswalks and intersections.

⚠️ Remember: Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks—it’s the law.

👀 Pedestrians: Stay alert, use designated crosswalks, and make sure drivers see you before entering the roadway.

Safe roads are a shared responsibility. A few extra seconds of caution can help prevent a tragedy.

On September 8, 2026, the Rowan University Police Department held a swearing-in ceremony to recognize two important milestones within our department. Family, friends, and colleagues gathered to share in these special moments.

Congratulations to:

🔵Senior Lieutenant Adam McCain, who was sworn in as Deputy Chief of Police.

🔵Timothy Eddis, who was sworn in as a University Police Officer.

Please join us in congratulating Deputy Chief McCain on his promotion and welcoming Officer Eddis to the Rowan University Police Department!

The Rowan University Police Department is once again conducting a Pedestrian Safety Enforcement Detail on Tuesday, September 8, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Our officers will be out looking for unsafe driving behaviors, reminding motorists to slow down, stay alert, and yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.

But remember, pedestrian safety isn’t just a 4-hour detail. We’re watching for pedestrian safety ALL DAY. EVERY DAY.

Increased safety is our goal. Whether you’re driving, walking, or biking through campus, we all play a part in keeping our community safe.
