Award-winning mystery author Steve Liskow leads this practical workshop on turning a promising idea into a compelling story. While memorable characters may capture readers' attention, a strong plot is what keeps them turning the pages. Participants will learn how to develop an idea into a workable premise, build suspense through effective plotting, and craft a satisfying ending.

A finalist for the Shamus and Edgar Awards and winner of the Black Orchid Novella Award, Steve is the author of multiple mystery series set in Connecticut and Detroit. His short fiction has appeared in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine and Sherlock Holmes Mystery Magazine, and he regularly mentors writers through Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime while teaching fiction workshops throughout Connecticut.
