For today's , we are sharing a powerful excerpt from a scholarship essay written by D, an incredible young man in our program.
Looking back on his family's journey, D shared how heavy things were before finding stability. He and his mom were living with his grandmother, trying to get by every single day without a vehicle. But being accepted into Bridge changed everything.
Moving into a stable home and a neighborhood with better opportunities allowed D to step out of survival mode. Instead of worrying about the future, he was finally able to focus on his academics and sports. Now, heβs focused on building his dream career! ππββοΈ
This is the true return on investment when YOU support Bridge Families. You are helping a young man build an unshakeable foundation so he can change his family's trajectory forever.
We are so proud of you, D! π

Imagine carrying the weight of grief, financial hardship, and the constant fear of not knowing where your child will sleep tonight, all at once. That was Ashleyβs reality.
Ashley was a hardworking single mother, but when her daughterβs father passed away, grief triggered a cascade of challenges. Her mental health suffered, forcing her to step back from her job. Then came the breaking point: her rent skyrocketed from $2k to $3k a month.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, Ashley found safety at Bridge. With a stable place to live, her mind was finally able to rest. She has since paid down debt, raised her credit score, and is currently earning her associate degree! π©βππ
Every day, more families in our community reach a breaking point. They need someone in their corner. One gift from you means a family stepping into a bright future.

It takes a village, and we have the best one!
A big heartfelt thank you to the Glen Ellyn Infant Welfare Society for their recent grant supporting our Childrenβs Program! π
Our staff members, Janet and Kristin, loved getting to speak at their event at the end of May. It was so moving to stand alongside other incredible local nonprofits who are completely dedicated to uplifting our community.
This grant gives our youngest residents the exact tools, counseling, and stability they need to thrive. Thank you for investing in their bright futures!

We are sending the biggest, most heartfelt thank you to the incredible members of 100 Women Who Care Naperville!
Debbie Shipley and Marian Stricker have championed for Bridge in 100 Women Who Care and most recently Debbie stepped up to push for us again. Not only did we win the organization quarter's funding, but the group absolutely shattered expectations, raising a spectacular $15,050! β¨
Several members are already familiar faces around here, having served as mentors and dedicated supporters of Bridge over the years. These vital funds are designated to support our Direct Mentor model, allowing us to scale our program and serve even more families journeying from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
Thank you, Debbie, Marian, and every single generous member of 100 Women Who Care Naperville. You are proof that when women unite for good, entire communities thrive! π
