On W̶e̶d̶n̶e̶s̶d̶a̶y̶s̶ Tuesday, we wear pink in recognition of Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

Organized by the Village's Wellness Committee, this gesture is intended to support and honor those affected by breast cancer.

Metastatic breast cancer—also called stage IV breast cancer—is a cancer that spreads to other parts of the body. Find library resources in Nonfiction in the 616.9 section, or access Consumer Health Complete or Medline in our Digital Resources at gepl.org.

The drive-up window may be closed while work continues on a soon-to-be window on the west side of the building that is part of the third floor refresh of some staff spaces.

You may have also noticed the library picnic benches near the Prairie Path have removed so that concrete slabs can be poured in preparation for new picnic benches! The new benches will be installed in the following weeks when the concrete has had sufficient time to cure.

The area near the Prairie Path will have a new bike repair station with a tire pump and tools.

Thank you for your patience during these facility improvements!
