It’s never too early to build relationships with your community. Officer Gunderson took some time today to teach our future generation about community helpers!

When a 4-year-old child with autism went missing over the weekend in the Wheaton area, College of DuPage Police Officer Jacob Roberts knew he could help. Although the call was being handled by Wheaton Police, Officer Roberts kept an eye out and remembered the child’s family had shared that the child was drawn to large bodies of water.

He began searching the area and safely located the child, then assisted Wheaton Police with reuniting the child with their parents.

We’re proud of Officer Roberts for going above and beyond to help keep our community safe. Thank you for looking out for our neighbors, Officer Roberts! 👏

We thank not only Officer Medina, but all the women behind the scenes that make our department a positive impact in our community.
