The Native American Women's Conference (NAWC) hosts an inaugural Young Women's Leadership Program designed for young Native women ages 18-30 to grow their leadership skills, culture, wellness, and community connections.

Through this program, our young Native women will be able to explore various leadership roles, learn about other Native cultures, and hear from our mentors!

Meet your keynote speaker, Phefelia Nez.
__
Phefelia is a Navajo (Diné) leader and advocate who served as the first lady of the Navajo Nation. Her tenure was characterized by initiatives focused on the preservation of the Navajo language and culture, animal welfare reform, and her service on a New Mexico task force addressing Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW).

"I felt that I've gained a lot of valuable resources, and I am open to learning how to continue to improve myself."

"So I make time for myself again. I wasn't even going to come, but I'm so glad I put work and others aside for a day of networking with other tribes."

These are just two of numerous reviews our attendees shared with us after our conferences. Through our self-care practices, which are part of our agenda, our attendees get extra time to reground themselves. This, coupled with our diverse breakout sessions and roundtable discussions, presents opportunities for reflection and growth!

We'll see you soon! Only 25 days left until the conference!
