We were honored to welcome UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan Arman Tsarukyan to the Glendale Police Department! 💪🏼

During his visit, Arman got a look inside our Real Time Intelligence Center and the Training Bureau’s state-of-the-art mat room, where he saw members of our team during their Jiu-Jitsu training.

We had great conversations about the importance of discipline, investing in our youth, and empowering the next generation to build a positive future for themselves and our community.

Please join us in congratulating Captain Wofford on his promotion!

Prior to his promotion, Captain Wofford served as a lieutenant overseeing several key divisions, including Patrol, Traffic, Communications, Criminal Investigations, and the Professional Standards Bureau.

In his new role, he will oversee the Training Bureau and Professional Standards Bureau under the Office of the Chief. Throughout his career with the Glendale Police Department, he has also served in assignments involving Detectives, SWAT, the Special Enforcement Detail (SED), and the Canine Unit (K9).

Captain Wofford holds a bachelor’s degree in history from UCLA, a Master of Divinity from Liberty University, and a doctorate in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University. He also serves on the board of the California Association of Tactical Officers and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Glendale.

Congratulations, Captain Wofford, on this well-deserved promotion!

August and September brought plenty of opportunities for K9 Brisket to meet new friends and connect with our community! 🦮💙

Through his visits and community events, he’s helping introduce more people to the different roles K9s can serve, including Brisket’s own role as a wellness K9, providing comfort and support to those who need it. Stay tuned for Brisket’s next recap!
