Today marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who answered the call without hesitation, and the countless acts of courage, sacrifice, and service witnessed on one of our nation’s darkest days.

For the fire service, the loss of 343 FDNY firefighters remains deeply personal. Their courage and sacrifice continue to inspire generations of firefighters and remind us of the responsibility we carry each time we answer the call.

Today, the Glendale Fire Department joins our nation in honoring all who were lost, all who responded, and all whose lives were forever changed.

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

May We Never Forget.

Since June, California has deployed 3,372 personnel and 258 pieces of equipment to support wildfire, flood, and earthquake response in 12 states and two countries, all without reducing the state’s ability to protect communities at home. Most recently, California mobilized crews to support the Hawk Fire on the California-Nevada border as the state helps communities respond to disasters nationwide.

Recruiting a few new GFD members… applications pending. 🚒🔥

It was a pleasure welcoming A R M E N C H I K, Super, Jivan Gasparyan, and Yura Movsisyan to Fire Station 21.

We had a great time showing them around, introducing them to our members, and talking about their shared love for Glendale and the community we are all proud to serve.

We truly appreciated their visit, their time, and especially their kind words about the women and men of the Glendale Fire Department.
