The Montana Department of Labor & Industry (DLI) is seeking a Content Manager to join its Communications Team, helping to make online information clear, accurate, accessible, and easy to use. This position reviews, edits, organizes, drafts, and maintains content on DLI websites and works with program staff to help ensure Montanans, businesses, workers, and other customers can find the information and services they need.

Experience working with government services, public information, digital accessibility, web analytics, search-engine optimization, or content governance is helpful but not required. Applicants who are highly motivated self-starters that are able to work independently and with a team are most likely to be successful in this position.

October is Manufacturing Month, and we’re celebrating a new chapter for photonics manufacturing in Montana!

Last week, PHIX Inc. officially opened its new cleanroom and offices in Bozeman with a ribbon cutting and open house. The Montana Department of Labor & Industry is proud to support PHIX as a partner in strengthening Montana’s advanced manufacturing industry and workforce.

PHIX’s new facility will add significant packaging and assembly capabilities to Montana’s integrated photonics ecosystem, building on the region’s strengths in photonic integrated circuit design, development, and testing.

Commissioner Sarah Swanson joined PHIX CEO Albert Hasper and Montana Photonics & Quantum Alliance Executive Director Jason Yager to cut the ribbon. Optica’s Jose Pozo, photonics industry leaders, and Montana officials also gathered to celebrate this milestone and the skilled workforce behind it.
