πŸ”₯πŸš’ We had a great time at Sandy Creek teaching the preschoolers and kindergartners about fire safety! We talked about several things including smoke detectors, fire escape plan, staying low, sleeping with the bedroom door closed, and knowing where to go once you get outside.

Thank you for having us! It was a great time with some awesome kids! πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’β€οΈ

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ NEVER FORGET β€” SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We remember all those who gave their lives serving others. We also remember the families and loved ones who continue to carry their loss.

From all of us at Glenvil Volunteer Fire & Rescue β€” we will NEVER FORGET.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Honor. Remember. Never Forget.

A BIG THANK YOU! πŸ’§πŸš’

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) and Anheuser-Busch for their generous donation of water to support our firefighters and our community.

Staying hydrated is incredibly important, especially during long calls, training, and hot summer days. Your support helps us stay ready to serve and protect our community when we’re needed most.

We truly appreciate your generosity and your commitment to supporting volunteer firefighters across the country.

Thank you, NVFC and Anheuser-Busch, for supporting those who protect our communities! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸš’πŸ’§

🚨🚌 THE BUS STOPS. YOU STOP. PERIOD. 🚌🚨

πŸ“š SCHOOL STARTS THURSDAY! πŸ“š

That means kids will be getting on and off school buses every day. Please slow down and pay attention as you travel.

When you see those RED LIGHTS FLASHING and the STOP ARM OUT β€” STOP! πŸ›‘

❌ Don’t try to squeeze past.
❌ Don’t think you have enough time.
❌ Don’t assume the kids are already safely across the road.

πŸ‘‰ STOP AT LEAST 20 FEET FROM THE BUS AND WAIT.

Those few seconds could be the difference between a child making it home safely and a tragedy that can never be undone.

πŸš’ Glenvil Volunteer Fire Department asks everyone: SLOW DOWN. PAY ATTENTION. STOP FOR THE BUS.

❀️🚌 Our kids are worth the wait.

School starts Thursday β€” let’s start the year by keeping our kids safe!

Please share and help spread the word!

🚜 6 TO 8 FOOT TALL CORN STALKS AND NOT SLOWING DOWN ARE MAKING RURAL INTERSECTIONS VERY DANGEROUS RIGHT NOW TILL AFTER HARVEST.

The corn is now 6 - 8 feet tall in many locations in Nebraska. Many rural road intersections have no yield or stop signs, an unprotected intersection. Right now till harvest treat every intersection with tall corn as a 4 way stop. Many farmers plant corn on State and County road ditches, which make these intersections more dangerous. Drivers are not slowing down at these rural intersections.
