Safe Baby Tip of the Week

Keeping baby close at night can make feeding, comforting, and checking on baby easier, but baby needs their own safe sleep space.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends room sharing without bed sharing, ideally for at least the first 6 months. Place baby’s crib, bassinet, or portable play yard near your bed so baby is close by but sleeping on a separate, firm, flat surface.

For every sleep, place baby on their back and keep the sleep space free of blankets, pillows, toys, bumpers, and other soft items.

Same room. Separate sleep space. Safer sleep.

Many families just don't see this coming. They warn their kids about drugs and alcohol, but gambling is rarely part of the conversation.

Men are survivors too.

They deserve to be believed and supported.
They deserve access to safety and resources.

Domestic violence doesn't always look the way we expect it to.

And if we're serious about ending domestic violence, we have to make room for every survivor's story.
