Growing Minds, Growing Skills Academy: Super Sitters Virtual Series

Calling all aspiring babysitters! Do you know what it takes to be a Superhero in babysitting? Join us and find out. We will cover the basics of child care, ages and stages of development, basic first aid, and how to promote your new upcoming babysitting business. This training will be coming to you, virtually, on the following dates in November: November 16, 17, 23, and 24, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This program is open to youth in 4th grade and up.

Deadline to register is November 16th through 4-H Online.

4-H Club Officers, mark your calendars for Club Officer Training in Pope County!
Join us on Sunday, November 22nd at 5:30 PM at the Community Room of the Courthouse. We’ll go over officer roles, responsibilities, and tips to help you feel confident in your new leadership role.

Future Leader Of Pope, could that be you?

FLOP Ambassadors is a youth leadership program where teens in grades 6+ gain skills in a collaborative, safe, and youth-led environment to plan events, practice leadership skills, and meet new people. No prior experience in 4-H is required to be a FLOP Ambassador. Our Fall Festival is on November 1st from 6-8PM in the Glenwood Welcome Center. We will have a spooky party with food, friends, and an intro to the year!

Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

This 75-minute online training is open to Minnesota 4-H volunteers, potential volunteers, and youth leaders as part of our statewide volunteer development webinar program. While the content is geared towards new club leaders, anyone providing leadership and support to a 4-H members' experience will benefit from the material. Dates: Thursdays, November 5 & 19
Time: 6:30-7:30 pm, with a bonus session for adult treasurers on 11/19, from 7:30-8:00 pm
Audience: All youth treasurers, parents of youth treasurers, and any adult on 4-H bank accounts

Content: Financial best practices and policies, roles of the financial team, importance of youth treasurers, how to make roles meaningful, how to help treasurers develop financial management life skills, hands-on practice in completing our treasurer’s book, and tips for mentoring and supporting youth treasurers.
