A new, Native American-owned pharmacy is opening in the former Gloucester Pharmacy suite next to Food Lion.

Del. Keith Hodges, Chief Pharmacy Officer for UMIT, started off the ribbon-cutting ceremony with a message to the attendees and community. “One of the things that I like most—I mean, I love being behind the counter, but the best part is the people,” he said. “It’s all of you, that’s what makes it all worthwhile, and we’re thrilled to be able to serve our community.”

UMIT Health, owned by the Upper Mattaponi Indian Tribe, opened Aylett Family Wellness, a community focused clinic at Aylett in 2021, Hodges explained. After a survey of the surrounding area—which showed one provider for every 6,000 people, the decision to open a clinic to help both tribal members and the entire community was made.

Save the date! Rams at Gloucester Point will be welcoming folks to a Grand Opening ceremony on Friday, Sept. 25 from noon until 5 p.m. Folks from the radio station will be there, and you can expect to enjoy raffles, giveaways and sale prices on deli items.

They're right off of Jordan Road and Route 17, next to Whitley's. Plan to make it part of your afternoon commute 🚗

You might have already known that August is Virginia Craft B**r Month - but we just got the happy news that our local brewery was recognized in the 2026 Virginia Craft B**r Cup.

The Virginia Craft Brewers Guild honored Gloucester Brewing Company's Low Ground Ale 🏅 It earned "silver" in the Brown Ale category.

Rams Petroleum is set to open TOMORROW down at Gloucester Point! We visited last week while they were getting things set up. This isn't your ordinary gas station.

Stop by for old-fashioned food like fried chicken and collards, or take advantage of their 24-hour service with some grab-and-go snacks.

If you're visiting, turn into the parking lot off of 17 using Jordan Road! It's just a little ways before Whitley's Peanuts.
