The Gloversville Recreation Commission’s Southern Adirondack Wine & Food Festival will be held tomorrow, June 6, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on North Main Street. The event entry point will be located at the Church Street intersection.

To allow for event setup and the safety of attendees, North Main Street between Fulton Street and the Prospect Avenue/Spring Street intersection will be closed beginning at 11:00 a.m. and will remain closed until approximately 9:00 p.m.

Please seek alternate routes during this time frame and use caution while traveling through the downtown area.

For those attending the event, public parking is available in several downtown municipal lots, including lots along Elm Street and Fremont Street.

We hope everyone comes out and enjoys a great day in downtown Gloversville!

GLOVERSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE

Subsequent to a Press Release distributed on Friday, May 29th, 2026, detailing the Arrest of Kenneth J. Ille II for the crime of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Police have identified additional students who have engaged in private communication with the account that Kenneth is alleged to have created and maintained. As a result, the name of the account is being released for the purpose of identifying any additional victims of Kenneth’s alleged behavior. Police believe that Kenneth had used an account with the username, “garynelson90,” or had presented himself as, “Greg.”

Members of the public are asked to contact Detective C. Pescetti if they have had any unusual encounters with Kenneth or are aware of any unusual communication with the above accounts. Detective Pescetti can be contacted at 518-773-4513, or by email at [email protected].

While there is probable cause for the issuance of this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Traffic Advisory: Road Closure

Due to a motor vehicle accident, South Main Street between Hill Street and Harrison Street will remain closed until at least early this afternoon.

Motorists are asked to seek an alternate route and avoid the area if possible.

- Brian P. Tretola, a 59-year-old male from Johnstown, Bench Warrant.
- Stephan L. Chase, a 29-year-old male from Gloversville, Bench Warrant.
- Christa G. Ambrosino, a 26-year-old female from Gloversville, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Gloversville City Code Violation (X2).
- Stanley G. Gracius, a 43-year-old male from Gloversville, Gloversville City Code Violation, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration.
- Kelly A. Boudreau-Burns, a 54-year-old female from Gloversville, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, Gloversville City Code Violation.
- Trisha M. Memrick, a 56-year-old female from Johnstown, Driving While Intoxicated.
- Rhasheem J. Meynard, a 46-year-old male from Gloversville, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree.
- Justin G. Kenyon, a 34-year-old male from Gloversville, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree.
- Malachi L. Terry, a 21-year-old male from Gloversville, Assault in the Second Degree (X3), Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, Resisting Arrest.
- Ava N. Griffin, a 21-year-old female from Gloversville, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the Second Degree.
- Alfio Coco Jr., a 34-year-old male from Gloversville, Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

There were a total of 331 calls for service in the past week. 17 of these were Domestic Violence complaints. 19 were Disorderly Conduct complaints. There was 1 reported Overdose.

While there is probable cause for the issuance of these arrests, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The Gloversville PBA would like to invite everyone to join us in historic downtown Gloversville for the 11th Annual Southern Adirondack Wine & Food Festival on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

This is always a great community event featuring wineries, distilleries, breweries, food vendors, live music, and more than 60 specialty vendors throughout downtown Gloversville.

The entrance will be on Church Street.
Tasting Entry: $20, cash only
Non-Tasting Entry: Free

Proceeds from the event, organized by the Gloversville Recreation Commission, will help support future community events and city park improvements.

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, and the Gloversville Police Benevolent Association is proud to support the City of Gloversville’s “Paint the Town Purple” campaign.

Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia impact countless families, friends, caregivers, and loved ones throughout our community. By wearing purple and helping spread awareness, we can show support for those affected and help keep this important cause in the spotlight.

GLOVERSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE

The City of Gloversville Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in attempting to locate a missing 15-year-old juvenile male, Riley J. Alling

Riley was last seen on Friday, May 22nd, 2026, at about 11:00 A.M., in the City of Gloversville.

Riley is described as being approximately 5’8” tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, and having light brown colored hair. Two recent photographs of Riley are attached to this release.

GLOVERSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE

On Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, officials from the Gloversville Enlarged School District reported to the Gloversville Police Department that they had reason to believe that a teacher, employed by the district, had posed as a student and engaged in private communication, using social media, with other students. Members of the Detective Division commenced an investigation. Ultimately, Police identified the suspected perpetrator as Kenneth J. Ille II, a 44-year-old male from Schenectady, who is employed as a Teacher with the Gloversville Enlarged School District.

On Friday, May 29th, 2026, Kenneth was arrested and charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Police allege that Kenneth had created and maintained a social media account, under a different name than his own, while presenting himself as a student, and it’s alleged that Kenneth used that account to communicate with multiple students. Kenneth is currently awaiting arraignment in Gloversville City Court.

Kenneth’s photograph is attached to this release for the purpose of identifying any additional victims of Kenneth’s alleged behavior. Members of the public are asked to contact Detective C. The Gloversville Police Department appreciates the cooperation and assistance provided by school officials during this investigation. We value our longstanding partnership with the Gloversville Enlarge School District and remain committed to working together to ensure the safety of our students and community.

The City of Gloversville Police Department has investigated, and made arrests, in connection with three assaults involving a knife as the primary weapon, in the last four days.

The assaults are unrelated to one another, but represent a significant amount of violence, in a brief period of time.

On May 21st, 2026, Brent S. Alling Jr., a 37-year-old male from Gloversville, was arrested related to a slashing incident which occurred the same day. Mr. Alling has been charged with Assault in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.

On May 25th, 2026, Cassandra F. Brockhum, a 31-year-old female from Gloversville, was arrested related to a stabbing which occurred the same day. Ms. Brockhum has been charged with Assault in the Second Degree.

On May 25th, 2026, Gage M. Maloney, a 32-year-old male from Gloversville, was arrested related to a stabbing which occurred the same day. Mr. Maloney has been charged with Assault in the Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.

All three defendants were arraigned in Gloversville City Court. Alling Jr. and Gage Maloney were remanded to the Fulton County Correctional Facility. Brockhum was released on her own recognizance.

While there is probable cause for the issuance of these arrests, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
