Friendly reminder: your garbage truck is NOT a battery recycling center… or a mobile fire pit.

Please DO NOT put lithium-ion batteries, propane tanks, gasoline, or other flammable items in your garbage.

Why? Because once that truck starts compacting everything, those little batteries can go from “I’m just sitting here” to 🔥 SURPRISE! 🔥

And trust us… our drivers already have enough excitement in their day without adding “put out a garbage truck fire” to the schedule.

♻️ Batteries belong at a proper battery/electronics recycling drop-off — NOT in your garbage cart or dumpster.

Help us keep the garbage truck where it belongs: ON THE ROAD, not ON FIRE. 🚛💨🔥

City of Grandin - will be picked up Wednesday May 27th.

The office will be closed Monday May 25th.
