Hillsborough County 4-H is kicking off the new 4-H Year with its Annual Halloween Family Bingo Night on Thursday October 29th at 6pm at the Hillsborough County Complex in Goffstown, NH! This is for youth ages 5 and up come dressed up and enter the costume contest and enjoy ice cream, candy, and refreshments while having family fun playing Bingo and earn some cool prizes and swag! This Event is FREE but we are asking that you bring at least one canned good item to donate for our annual Food Drive which will be for the Food Pantry of Community partner Beech Street Elementary School. The new Hillsborough County 4-H STEM Learning Lab kicks off in November at the Hillsborough County Complex in Goffstown, NH as it will offer several hands-on STEM & Makers activities for your kids to enjoy. Learn to plant and grow cucumbers! 4-H members and their families can learn all about the various types of cucumbers and can grow their very own at home and in their gardens. Your child will received a pot with soil and seeds to help grow their cucumbers

This STEM enrichment program is designed for youth ages 8-18 and provides hands-on, interactive learning experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Participants will explore a variety of exciting STEM topics through engaging activities such as Growing with STEM, Cooking with STEM, Building with STEM, Machines with STEM, Circuit Builders with STEM, and Water Filtration with STEM. Each topic is presented through real-world applications that encourage youth to investigate scientific concepts, engineering principles, technology, and mathematics in a fun and supportive learning environment.
Programs will be held twice monthly on the first and third Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each month will feature a two-part STEM series, allowing participants to build knowledge and skills over multiple sessions while completing in-depth projects and experiments. By participating in these sequential learning experiences, youth will develop critical thinking, teamwork, and STEM literacy while gaining confidence in their ability to explore, create, and innovate. The program is designed to provide meaningful, age-appropriate learning opportunities that foster a lifelong interest in STEM fields.

Lots of great things to see and several 4-H members are down at the Big E representing the state and Hillsborough County showing Animals or making Presentations. Many parents,staff, leaders are also pitching in to help serve food to earn scholarship funds for a Hillsborough County 4-H youth!
