We were happy to get to visit with the kids and teachers at the Golden City Mennonite School today. They were excited to learn fire safety and see the trucks. Thank you to Kenneth Mast and the teachers to allow us to come out.

We would like to remind everyone that Barton County including Golden City is still under a burn ban. Unfortunately we did not receive an adequate amount of rain to be able to remove this ban. Please be mindful and sustain for all outside burning!!

There will be a memorial service for Chief Eric Whites mother September 13th at 2:00 p.m. It will be held at the Golden City Park Building. Everyone is welcome to attend! Family is asking everyone to bring a dish for a potluck style meal because Momma White used to Love potlucks! ❤️

Sherri Brewer is going to help make a list of food that people are going to bring :) You can reach her on Facebook, at Sherri's Store, or by phone at 417-262-4107.

We would like to advise the residents of Golden City Fire District not to do any burning until we get much needed rain fall. We have respond to some grass/brush fires that are spreading very quickly. Also remember if something does get out of hand do not hesitate to call 911!

WE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE EVERYONE AWARE THAT THIS IS NOT US DOING THIS.
