Grab your costumes and join us for an afternoon of Halloween fun! Three locations, one spooktacular day!

Thursday, October 29 from 2:30–4:30 p.m.

Families and community members are invited to trick-or-treat through the building, visit participating County offices and follow clues in our scavenger hunt.

🎃Administration & Courts Building 100 Jefferson County Parkway

Start at HR & Wellness in the Atrium, trick-or-treat through participating County offices, collect scavenger hunt clues, and finish at the Haunted Bookmobile in the Court Side North Parking Lot for a prize!

All-day trick-or-treating will also be available at:

🎃Parks & Open Space / Facilities Management (700 Jefferson County Parkway)

Thanks to retained revenue dollars, which were made possible when Jeffco voters passed ballot measure 1A in 2024, Jefferson County Human Services was able to hire a clinical caseworker supervisor and 5 clinical caseworkers.

The work they do is critical, providing therapeutic support to children and families involved with the child welfare system who would otherwise not be able to access services.

The First Judicial District will hold its next Fresh Start event on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jefferson County Administration and Courts Facility, 100 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden.

Which cases are eligible?

People with active warrants in Gilpin or Jefferson counties in the following categories will have an opportunity to resolve their case without being arrested:
• Low-level, non-violent misdemeanors and traffic offenses
• Select low-level non-violent felonies which have been reclassified as misdemeanors
• Some class 5 and class 6 felony property offenses and class 4 drug felonies

Election season is here, and the length of this year’s ballot will certainly test your endurance!

The Board of County Commissioners encourages all eligible voters to cast their ballots early, knowing that the choices before you will shape the future of our county, state, and nation.

You should have already received your mail-in ballot, but if it hasn’t arrived, you can reach out to the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder’s Office by sending an email or calling 303-271-8111 for assistance or a replacement.
