Breast cancer found in its earliest stages is often easier to treat and less likely to have spread beyond the breast. Although no screening method can prevent breast cancer, staying familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel, getting recommended screenings, and promptly reporting any breast changes gives you the best opportunity to detect breast cancer as early as possible.

National Teen Driver Safety Week | October 18–24
🚗 Safe driving starts before your teen gets behind the wheel.
Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death for teens ages 15–18 in the United States. In 2024, 2,320 people were killed in crashes involving a teen driver.
Parents and caregivers play an important role in helping teens develop safe driving habits. Here are four ways to get started:
1. Start the conversation early. Talk about safe driving before your teen gets a license, and keep the conversation going. Connect with the parents of your teen’s friends to help reinforce the same expectations.
2. Lead by example. Put your phone away, buckle up, obey speed limits, and practice safe driving habits every time you get behind the wheel.
3. Set clear expectations. Create a parent-teen driving agreement that outlines the rules and consequences. Put it somewhere visible as a reminder.
4. Make the rules non-negotiable.
No cell phone use while driving.
No speeding.
No alcohol or drugs.
No driving while tired.
Always wear a seat belt.
Limit passengers in accordance with graduated licensing rules.
Safe driving is a responsibility, not a privilege to take lightly. The habits teens build today can help protect them and everyone else on the road.
Help us keep our community safe. Start the conversation with your teen today.

Today is — a global opportunity to learn more about osteoporosis, take action for your bone health and join others in raising awareness.
Osteoporosis causes bones to become weak and brittle, increasing the risk of fractures. Because bone loss often happens without noticeable symptoms, prevention and early detection are especially important.
💚 Support your bone health with these healthy habits:
• Eat for strong bones: Include calcium-rich foods and get adequate vitamin D.
• Stay active: Incorporate weight-bearing activities and strength training into your routine.
• Avoid smoking and limit alcohol: Both can negatively affect bone health.
• Know your risk: Talk with your provider about your personal risk factors and whether a bone density screening is right for you.
Taking steps to protect your bones today can help support strength, mobility, and independence for years to come.
It’s never too early — or too late — to take action to protect your bone health.
