The Goldston Feed-Well Fridge and Goldston Public Library are partnering up this Fall/Winter for a donation drive.

Donations can be dropped off at the library or the Feed-Well Fridge located on N. Main St. Goldston, NC 27252.

Donations needed are water, shelf-stable items, plastic cutlery, pet food, hygiene products, feminine products, cold weather outerwear, socks, etc.

Feed-Well Fridges is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Their program aims to eliminate food insecurity and commercial food waste.

Grandma never called her split-rail fence of pink coneflowers, Black-eyed Susans, and a vine buzzing with hummingbirds a native pollinator garden, but that is exactly what she grew. Many of those tough old-timers are North Carolina natives that feed goldfinches, fireflies, bees, and bats while asking for very little in return. Ten fence-line favorites deserve a spot in your yard again, and each one earns it for its own reason.
