🚑 A little update from Goliad County EMS!

🇺🇸Flagpole Refurbish: Our flagpole just got a fresh makeover! It’s been sanded, repainted and outfitted with a new solar light so our flag can shine proudly at night. We’re just waiting on the new rope to arrive, and then our flags will be flying again.

🅿️ Parking Lot Refresh: Next up, you’ll see our parking lot getting a fresh coat of bright yellow lines. A huge thank you goes out to Paramedic Derrick Montes for taking the lead and putting in the hard work to get our lot looking sharp.

At Goliad County EMS, our medics don’t just care for their patients, they care deeply about our community and our station. Their dedication shows in everything they do, big and small.

Thank you, Goliad, for always supporting us.

Sensory Processing Disorder is a condition that affects the way a person’s brain interprets and responds to sensory information. For some individuals, certain sounds, lights, textures, or touches can feel overwhelming, while others may appear under-responsive. Sensory challenges are commonly experienced by patients with neurodevelopmental and neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.

Goliad County EMS is proud to support our community by equipping each of our ambulances with sensory bags designed to help make transports as calm, safe, and comfortable as possible for those affected. These sensory bags include a weighted blanket, noise‑reducing headphones, and small comfort items to help patients feel secure during care.

Our goal is to ensure every patient receives compassionate support tailored to their needs.

With heavy hearts, our EMS organization joins the entire community in mourning the loss of Sgt. Michael Krucenski. Officer Mike was a constant and reassuring presence in our schools, always watching over our students and staff while taking the time to truly engage with them. His dedication, kindness, and steady leadership leave a lasting impact that will not be forgotten. His absence is a tremendous loss to the first responder family and to all who had the honor of knowing him.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sgt Michael Krucenski of the Goliad County Sheriff’s Office.

Sgt Krucenski was found deceased this morning. He appears to have passed from natural causes while conducting physical fitness training on the indoor track at GHS.

Michael was a dedicated public servant who put the safety and security of the students and staff at Goliad ISD as his top priority. He was loved and admired for his gracious personality, sense of humor, and dedication to duty.

We will miss Michael being part of our GCSO family and offer our condolences to Michael’s family, as well as the staff and students at GISD.

Sgt Michael Krucenski will be missed but not forgotten.

His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Matthew 25:21
