⚠ Clarification Regarding Gooding School District’s Supplemental Levy

Gooding School District would like to clarify information in a recent article on KIVITV.com regarding state funding and the proposed supplemental levy.

On November 3, 2026, voters will consider renewing the district’s supplemental levy at $903,000 per year for two years.

The estimated average annual cost is $93 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, before state tax relief, based on current conditions.
During the past two years, state funding fully offset the district’s supplemental levy, meaning local property taxpayers paid $0 toward that levy. If this levy is passed, the district will again apply available funding from Idaho’s School District Facilities Fund to reduce the amount collected from local property taxpayers.
The amount of relief will depend on the state funding received each year.

We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this information and encourage patrons to learn more at https://gsd231.org/supplemental-levy/
