Gooding County EMS has deployed an ambulance and crew to assist with a wildland fire response to the Tartar Fire in Weiser.
Wildland fire deployments allow our personnel to support emergency operations beyond our district while gaining valuable experience in large scale and extended incidents 
Most importantly, this deployment does not reduce ambulance coverage for Gooding County. Our local staffing and response needs remain our first priority, and deployments are only accepted when we can ensure appropriate coverage here at home.
These deployments are reimbursed through the requesting agency and provide additional revenue to our ambulance district while allowing us to assist communities and emergency responders when additional resources are needed.
We are proud of our crew for stepping up to serve, and we wish all of the firefighters, EMS personnel, and support crew working this incident, and all others a safe deployment.
