💡Did you know?

According to the American Heart Association, Around 10.5% of people who experience an OHCA (Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest) treated by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) survive to leave the hospital.

Sometimes, we get to witness great things. Today, our team was recognized by the Sherman County Commissioners and received a life safe award and a pin to place proudly on our uniform.

B Shift recently responded to a patient suffering a major cardiac emergency. What started as one emergency quickly became a fight for life when the patient went into cardiac arrest.

For those moments, it was nothing but CPR, defibrillation, medication administration, teamwork, and determination. Every second mattered. Every hand on that patient mattered. Every person involved played a part in keeping hope alive.

And then came the outcome every EMS provider hopes for. ❤️🚑

The patient survived.
No lasting deficits.
Alive and well today.

Behind every cardiac arrest, and every patient we see for that matter, is a person who has a family, friends, a story, and people who love them.

We are incredibly proud of B Shift, all of our team members at Northwest Kansas Ambulance Service, and every person who contributed to this patient’s survival — from dispatch, to EMS, to our law enforcement officers, to the hospital teams and everyone in between.

This is why we train.

Good afternoon Goodland 😁😁

It is that time of year again, it is our annual touch a truck event 🚓🚑🚒🚜🚌. I have attached the flyer and hope you all bring your kiddos out for a great time of learning and exploring 🤓😎. We will also be running a car seat check lane, we would be more then happy to check your car seat out to ensure your little ones are safe 🫶🤜🤛🫵. We will also have a car seat giveaway, so come out and enjoy!!!

Join us on September 25, 2026, at Concert in the Park as Law Enforcement, Fire & EMS go head-to-head in a battle for bragging rights—and, more importantly, to help our local kids! ❤️💛

💰 This is a fundraiser for Goodland Schools - USD 352 Goodland Kansas to help students and families who are behind on school lunch payments. Every donation helps make sure our kids don’t go without. 💸

👮‍♀️🚒🚑 We’ll be out walking around before the event collecting donations, so keep an eye out for us and help support a GREAT cause!
