I had the pleasure of attending the Goshen COA luncheon where we received a presentation by the Northwestern District Attorneys (NWDA) office on Scams.

Anita Wilson and Carolyn Young from the NWDA consumer protection office presented an informative PowerPoint reviewing the most common scams and how to protect oneself.

Chief Bezio talked about the impact scams have had on the residents in Goshen.

This afternoon the Goshen Police Department received a report of an injured owl on the side of Route 9 in Lithia. Turns out, the Great Horned Owls leg was broken and Tom Ricardi was called in to take the owl to rehab. The GPD wishes the owl a very speedy recovery.

Also, this morning while out on patrol, a very healthy looking juvenile black bear was spotted on East Street. Couldn’t get a picture because the bear darted back into the woods (pretty sure it had outstanding warrants 😂) and I couldn’t get my phone out quick enough.

It’s been a Wildlife Tuesday today!!!

Good Morning Goshen!

Goshen has multiple crews working on Route 9, Berkshire Trail East and Main Street all week. Please take a few extra minutes when navigating that area. Also, please be patient with our detail officers and traffic control personnel. They will get you through the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Happy Fourth of July Goshen!!!

As of 10:10AM, the D.A.R. Day Use is at full capacity. If you plan on visiting today, there is a possibility you may not be able to get a parking space and may be turned away.

As a reminder, Route 112 / Cape Street is not an option to park when visiting the park.

The person in question has been located. We appreciate all of the public’s assistance in locating this individual.

The Goshen Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the following subject who was involved in a larceny from a building in Goshen on Wednesday, May 27th around 8:00PM from the Williams-Boltwood House on Williams Drive.

If you have any information regarding this subject, please contact the Goshen Police Department at 413-268-3116 or contact the 24/7 Dispatch Center in Northampton at 413-586-1508.

Please remember that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
