💜💛🦅 GOSHEN HIGH SCHOOL JROTC: DEVELOPING TOMORROW’S LEADERS TODAY! 🇺🇸

On Thursday, October 8, 2026, our Goshen High School JROTC Cadets traveled to Birmingham, Alabama, to attend the Alabama Joint Leadership Development Conference (JLDC) at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC).

Throughout the day, our cadets had the opportunity to connect with future leaders from across Alabama, participate in engaging hands-on activities, and strengthen essential leadership, communication, teamwork, and workforce readiness skills.

At Goshen High School, we believe leadership is not just about wearing a uniform—it is about character, discipline, service, responsibility, and making a positive difference!

We are extremely proud of our cadets for representing Goshen High School and the Eagle Nation with professionalism, pride, and excellence!

A special thank-you to 1SG Robert L. Ballard, our JROTC instructor, for his continued dedication to developing the next generation of leaders.

📣 REMINDER: PREACT 10 TESTING AT GOSHEN HIGH SCHOOL 💜🦅💛

Goshen High School sophomores will take the Pre-ACT 10 on Monday, October 19, 2026!

🎯 OUR GOAL IS 100% PARTICIPATION!

We would LOVE to have 100% of our sophomores present and testing on Monday! And Eagles…there will be an EXCELLENT INCENTIVE if we reach our goal of 100%! 👀🎉

📚 WHO TESTS?

All 10th-grade students (sophomores) listed in PowerSchool should report to campus no later than 7:35 A.M. on test day. Students are strongly encouraged to arrive early so testing can begin on time.

📝 WHAT IS THE PREACT 10?

The Pre-ACT 10 includes English, Math, Reading, and Science. It gives students valuable practice with the ACT testing experience, provides an estimate of future ACT performance, and helps identify academic strengths and areas where students can improve before taking the ACT during their junior year.

💻 TESTING FORMAT & TECHNOLOGY

Students will complete the assessment using desktop computers in our computer labs. No other digital or electronic devices are permitted in the testing environment. This includes cell phones, smartwatches, Meta smart glasses, earbuds, or other electronic/digital devices.

⭐ TEST-DAY REMINDERS

Get a good night’s rest Sunday night.

Eat a healthy breakfast Monday morning.

Arrive at school early and ready to do your best.

Wear comfortable, school-appropriate clothing.

Please avoid bringing unnecessary bags, electronic devices, or other personal items.

Take your time, read carefully, and give your BEST EFFORT on every section!

Parents and guardians, we need your help! Please make every effort to ensure your sophomore is present, on time, and ready to test.
