BREAKING: Republicans Went Off on Biden for Skipping a Salute. Trump Just Skipped One and Yelled at the Pilot Too.

Republicans spent years hammering Biden over a single missed salute getting off Marine One. Trump just gave them a version of the same moment that's actually worse, and the silence from the right has been deafening.

Video from Trump's return to Morristown Municipal Airport Monday shows him in a tense, roughly 16-second exchange with the helicopter crew, pointing and gesturing toward the cockpit in what appeared to be anger over a hard landing. He then walked down the stairs past two Marines standing at attention on either side, saluting him, and walked right past them without returning the gesture.

When Biden forgot to salute a Marine in 2021, it became a full news cycle, with Republicans calling it disrespectful and a sign he didn't take the military seriously. Fox News and GOP lawmakers ran with it for days.

Trump's version has the missed salute plus a caught-on-camera outburst at the flight crew, and it's been mostly met with silence from the same people who couldn't stop talking about Biden's.

The White House's own footage of Monday's arrival left out the moment at the helicopter door entirely.
