Well, here we are at the very last weekend of activity for 2026! The last school group of the year is packing up their tents, Prospector Joe's 3 new antique vehicles have just been unloaded and we are in high gear preparing for the RC rock crawling event that starts with some campers coming in tonight and runs through Sunday! It's definitely a busy weekend!! Dress warm if you'll be joining us this weekend! Mother nature is definitely in transition mode! Hopefully she is kind to us while we prep for winter and try to get some projects buttoned up! I'm looking forward to this weekend! Lynnie's Food Truck will be here to serve you and I'm looking forward to her yummy offerings and not cooking!!

LAST CHANCE!!
This awesome little truck will be finding its new owner tomorrow! It's a complete set up, ready to run in next weekend's RC Rock Crawling Event! Do you have your tickets yet?? Drawing will be tomorrow, Sat. Oct 10th at noon time!! Don't miss your chance to be in on the drawing! We hope to show the drawing live on Facebook on the event page tomorrow at noon time.
This is also the last weekend to explore the mine for this season! We are open until 5 pm today, 9 am to 5 pm tomorrow and 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday. Camping is available tonight and tomorrow night! It's chilly but we will still be doing the evening luminescent walk tonight and tomorrow night for campers! Foliage is holding out so far! Still a pretty view from the parking lot!

Here we are, at the beginning of the last weekend of the regular season for the mine! Only 4 days left (including today) to get your visit in to play in the rocks! We still have camping spots for this weekend, it's chilly so bring plenty of warm blankets! The foliage has held up much better than it did last year and there are still lots of pretty leaves on the trees even though there are also areas blanketed with leaves on the ground which is also very pretty! My drive back up here yesterday was pleasantly surprising as I expected the foliage to be on the downswing due to rain and wind. So if you are a leaf peeper and/or a dedicated rock hound hop in your car and come visit us before the season ends on Sunday! Prospector Joe and Greg Heselton will still be doing the autunite walk in the evening for campers Thursday, Friday and Saturday night!

It's a beautiful morning!! No shortage of color this year for the leaf peepers!! My ride home on Monday was beautiful, even though I hate driving in the rain, the wet leaves were super pretty! Yesterday's ride back up was just as spectacular with the sun shining on them! If you were disappointed with last year's lack of color this year is trying to restore your faith in mother nature! Get out there and enjoy it! Only 2 more weekends left to visit us at the mine!! Hope to see you soon! 🪏🪨🥾🍁🍂🌞
