There is a welcome Chill in the AIR
October 16, 2026
Dear Premier Parents,
Today we are completing nine weeks of school. Time is flying and finally, the cool air has caught up. Students that began the year with us should have successfully completed 18 (eighteen) knowledge unit tests to be on academic track. Do not hesitate to contact your student’s teacher if you need an update, have concerns, or just need information.
October is Mental Health Month. Please take the time to listen and talk to your student. Despite their age, you will be amazed as you listen to their opinions, their thoughts, and their plans for the future. You have sent us some awesome students who are bright, kind, and will continue to need your guidance toward adulthood.
Next week, we are partnering with Carter Blood Center for a Blood Drive on Thursday, October 22, 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The bus will be located in our front parking lot ready to greet you and your friends. Thank you for supporting this worthy cause.
This week we hosted our first Career Fair. We had representatives from Ogle School of Beauty, Weatherford College Trades Programs, and military recruiters from the Marines and the Navy. We had a very sparse crowd, however, we will be hosting these representatives throughout the fall so our students can gather information about possible careers.
October 28th, we will be administering the SAT during the school day for free. We have 20 available seats. If your student is interested, please remind them to talk to their teacher and get registered.
Benchmark tests for December End of Course tests will be administered next week. Students have been notified of this session if EOCs are necessary. Students that have not been successful previously will be required to benchmark for these December tests.
We are gaining in student enrollment weekly. We have a few remaining seats that need warm bodies. Talk to your neighbors, church friends, and folks in line at the grocery store. We want to serve high school students. We firmly believe that Education Changes Everything!
Please feel free to contact us when your student will be absent and remember to send documentation.
Respectfully,
Marsha Grissom, Director [email protected]
