A big THANK YOU to some amazing volunteers! 💙

Our officers have some extra cozy gear in their patrol cars thanks to the generous volunteers who made these soft, handmade blankets for us.

Some of the calls we respond to are scary or confusing for children. These blankets give our officers a way to offer a little comfort in the moment, along with a snuggly teddy bear to hold onto. Every blanket was made with care, and we see how much it means to the kids who receive them.

To everyone who gave their time, creativity, and kindness: you are making a real difference for the youngest members of our community on some of their hardest days. We are so grateful for you.

Thank you, Granby! 🧸

Please join us as we welcome Stephanie R. Oliver to serve as the next Chief of Police for the Granby Police Department. Oliver brings more than 20 years of progressive law enforcement leadership experience in local policing, organizational development, and community-centered public safety. She most recently served as Assistant Chief of Police for the Glynn County Police Department in Georgia, where she directed five major divisions: Uniformed Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Support Services, Professional Standards and Accountability, and Administration. Her leadership contributed to the department earning Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP) state certification in 2025.

Over the course of her career, Oliver has served in nearly every major operational and investigative role within a police department, including SWAT Commander leading a 16-member Special Response Team, and as an investigative supervisor overseeing cases involving homicides, kidnappings, sexual offenses, robberies, and other serious crimes. She managed the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and internal affairs investigations, and has commanded large-scale events, natural disaster response, and countywide patrol operations.
Oliver holds a Master of Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, summa cm laude, from Armstrong Atlantic State University. She has completed the FBI LEEDA Leadership Trilogy, GACP Chief Executive Training, Georgia POST Executive Certification, and advanced tactical and leadership training through the National Tactical Officers Association and the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.

“I am deeply honored to be selected as Granby's next Chief of Police,” Oliver said. “This community's commitment to collaboration, safety, and shared responsibility is truly inspiring. I look forward to working alongside the Town's leadership, our officers, and the residents of Granby to strengthen public safety, enhance community partnerships, and ensure our department continues to serve with professionalism, integrity, and transparency. It is a privilege to join this remarkable community, and I am excited for the work ahead.”

Chief Oliver will assume command of the Granby Police Department on October 12.

Check out this great e-bike video by Fort Collins Police Services featuring Dude Dad. With so many electric devices cruising around town, knowing what you're riding ensures everyone stays safe — and on the right side of the law. If a device exceeds 750 watts, it’s legally an electric motorcycle or low-powered scooter. These higher-powered devices are considered motor vehicles under the law which comes with all the requirements therein (age limits, licensing, registration, and usage restrictions). Always double-check manufacturer specs before hitting the pavement.
Key Reminders:
🌱 | Class 1 - the motor assists ONLY when pedaling (max 20 mph)
⚙️ | Class 2 - the motor can propel the bike WITHOUT pedaling (max 20 mph)
🛰️ | Class 3 - the motor assists ONLY when pedaling (max 28 mph, 16+ y.o. to operate alone)
🛣️ | Roads - e-bikes are generally allowed where bicycles are permitted

Protect your privilege to ride. Ride Respectfully. Ride Smart. Ride Safe.

**Devices shown in the video with Dude Dad are meant as examples and may not represent the same classification or specifications being discussed by the characters.**

🍂 Big thanks to the team at Middle Park Health for having us stop by! Their Forensic Nurse Examiner Program just wrapped up a site review with UCHealth, and the results speak for themselves — a program that keeps getting stronger, a team that shows up for survivors with real compassion, and a community of partners who make it happen together.

This work matters. Having trained forensic nurses right here in Grand County means people going through some of the hardest moments of their lives get expert, caring support close to home — no need to travel elsewhere during an already difficult time.

Proud to be one of the partners behind this program. Nice work, FNE team!

🍂 The Grand County Sheriff's Office is proud to stand alongside Middle Park Health’s Forensic Nurse Examiner team in support of the important work they provide in our community.

Congratulations to the FNE Program on successfully completing a recent site review with UCHealth! The review highlighted the program’s continued progress, the dedication of the FNE team, and the strong collaboration among law enforcement, advocates, hospital leadership, and community partners.

Together, we are helping expand access to compassionate, specialized forensic care for individuals in Grand County.
