What an exciting day at Castlen Elementary! Today, we celebrated our Cubs’ hard work, dedication, and success with a Royal Lunch honoring our perfect-attendance Cubs and our 1st Quarter Academic Honors Parade! 👑🎉📚

A special THANK YOU to Alma Bryant High School for bringing the excitement of Friday Night Lights to The Castle! 🏈📣 Our Cubs were thrilled to welcome the Hurricanes’ Marching Band, Football Team, Cheerleaders, Kicking Cane Dance Team, Volleyball Team, and their amazing coaches! The energy, school spirit, and encouragement made this day extra special for our students and staff!

We are so proud of our Cubs for showing up, working hard, and striving for excellence. Thank you to Alma Bryant for pouring into our students and reminding them that success is worth celebrating! ❤️💙

📢 Dismissal Reminder from The Castle! 🏰

Dear Castlen Families,

Please remember to have your school-issued car tag number clearly visible during afternoon dismissal each day.

🔒 Student safety is our top priority! For the safety of all our Cubs, anyone who does not have their school-issued car tag will be asked to park and come inside the school with a valid ID to verify their identity before their student can be released.

Thank you for helping us keep our Cubs safe and for your cooperation as we work to ensure a smooth and secure dismissal process.

Mrs. Luse’s class had a TRAIN-TASTIC time on their field trip today! 🌟 From exploring to playing and making memories with friends, our Cubs enjoyed a day full of smiles, laughter, and adventure! 🐾❤️

India Bolar, a published children’s book author originally from Grand Bay, Alabama, came to read her book, Fluffalicious and the Magic of Curls, a heartwarming children’s book that encourages self-love, confidence, individuality, and embracing the beauty of natural curls, to our second graders.

We have a district winner! The MCPSS PACE program sponsors a T-shirt design contest in preparation for Gifted Family Night. This year, Khloe Creal from Castlen Elementary won the district contest. Her creativity was shining bright as she represented the theme of Gifted Family Night- America 250: Bright Minds, Bold Futures.

Khloe Creal and Kennedy Collins won first and second place for the Castlen contest, so both designs were sent to the district contest. Khloe’s design will be featured on the back of every PACE T-shirt, printed, and Khloe will be given a free T-shirt. We are so proud of her!

Our Student Council is proud to donate $200 to METAvivor and $200 to the Breast Cancer Foundation to support breast cancer research! 🎀💕

A HUGE thank-you to our amazing families, students, and staff for supporting our fundraisers, and helping us make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. Your generosity shows that when our school community comes together, we can make a BIG impact! Our donation checks were given in honor of 4 women this year - Stephanie Dragotta, Kathy Tanner, Stacy Holbrook, and Meredith Reed.

Together, we are spreading kindness, hope, and awareness—one fundraiser at a time! 🩷💙💚
