🏥 Managing Medication Prior Authorizations (PAs) 💊

Some medications require a Prior Authorization (PA) before TRICARE covers them. Here is how to keep your refills on track and avoid pharmacy delays!

💻 1. Check Status & Expiration Dates
Log into the Express Scripts TRICARE Portal (https://militaryrx.express-scripts.com/ or use their mobile app).

View your active prescriptions to check if your PA is approved and note its expiration date.

⏰ 2. Renew Your PA (30-Day Window)
PAs do not automatically renew with a new prescription.

📅 30 Days Before Expiration: Message your PCM team via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or call the clinic to request a PA renewal. This gives your doctor plenty of time to submit the paperwork.
