Cruising into Custody

A suspicious St. Lawrence River voyage bearing all the hallmarks of a smuggling run just hit the end of the line.

That trip came to a sudden halt in Alexandria Bay, NY, when Wellesley Island Border Patrol agents intercepted a vessel carrying five illegal aliens, three Canadian citizens and two Chinese citizens.

Safe to say this wasn’t the shore excursion they planned for.

Buffalo Station Border Patrol agents conducted a targeted enforcement operation resulting in the arrest of seven illegal aliens.

Among those arrested, two Honduran nationals were identified as wanted on active homicide warrants in Honduras, underscoring the vital role frontline agents play in removing violent offenders from our communities.

Buffalo Sector was honored to participate in America’s 9/11 Ride, a police-escorted motorcycle tribute traveling from Shanksville, Pennsylvania, to the Pentagon, and concluding in New York City. As we mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we remain steadfast in our commitment to keeping our promise: NEVER FORGET.

Removing dangerous threats from our streets: Last week, Buffalo Station Targeting Unit agents apprehended an MS-13 gang member in Cheektowaga, New York. The illegal alien attempted to evade arrest by fleeing on foot, but agents acted decisively to take him into custody. With a final order of removal in place, the subject is now being transferred to ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations. Our agents remain vigilant and dedicated to protecting our communities.

Buffalo Station Border Patrol Agents were assaulted by ramming with a suspect vehicle during a stop, and the driver was arrested. Using a vehicle as a weapon against an agent is a serious crime, and offenders will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
