It’s crazy to think that less than a year ago, this training ground was only an idea. Now, we are just 26 days away from the inaugural Heartland Municipal Lineworkers Training Event in collaboration with NMPP Energy .
Approximately 80 participants representing nearly 40 communities across Nebraska and Colorado will come together for three days of hands-on learning, professional networking, and skill development.
The training sessions will also help build out portions of the grounds. Topics will include pole specifications, pole framing and setting, transformer connections, metering, wire stringing, fall protection and self-rescue, Hendrix Spacer Cable, and the construction of a short line that will provide additional hands-on training opportunities.
None of this would be possible without the collaboration and collective effort of our committee members from throughout the region, the participating communities, and the vendors that have generously contributed materials, equipment, expertise, and instruction. This truly has been a regional effort, and it is exciting to see the vision becoming a reality.

Please DON'T POST signs on power poles. Nails, staples and tacks are hazardous for lineworkers and can puncture safety gear, and cause injuries and falls. Thank you!
