Grand Island Tourism Visit Nebraska's favorite island, Grand Island. Grand Island — Nebraska's favorite island — is a city of 53,000 in central Nebraska.

Grand Island Tourism provides information and planning assistance to leisure tourists and event or group tour planners. It is home to the Spring Migration of the Sandhill Cranes and the Nebraska State Fair. The economy is rooted in agriculture, and annually hosts national livestock events and the renowned Husker Harvest Days farm show. We're proud of our living history museum (Stuhr Museum) and Heartland Public Shooting Park – a shooting range unmatched for 1,000 miles in any direction. The Railside District, our historic downtown, offers unique shopping and dining, breweries, and an operating 1930s movie theater.

The Grand Island Gun Show returns for its 38th event, this year featuring 115 vendors and 400 tables of collectibles, fi****ms, knives and swords . . . and for the first time in the event's history, the Nebraska Game and Parks plinking gallery will be open right next door during the event.
