🍑 Plum Exploration! 🍑
Inspired by the sister picking plums in Bear’s Busy Family, Ms. Stanton's friends in the morning had their own plum adventure! They explored plums using their senses—looking at them, smelling them, feeling them, and, of course, tasting them! 😋
You may notice some thumbs-up in the pictures! 👍 After tasting the plums, students used a thumbs-up to show whether they liked the taste. It was fun to see that everyone had their own opinion! 🍑💛

At Howard Elementary, Mrs. O'Hara is bringing social-emotional learning to life with Tucker Turtle! 🐢✨
When our little learners feel overwhelmed, angry, or frustrated, Tucker teaches us to:
Stop what we're doing
Tuck inside our turtle shell and take deep breaths
Think of a peaceful solution
Teaching our preschoolers how to recognize and manage big feelings gives them tools for a lifetime. 💛

The Freeze Dance! This song is part of our Tools of the Mind Curriculum and helps us develop self-regulation. This is an essential building block for later academic learning. The preschoolers in Mrs. Voss’ room at Starr Elementary have some great dance moves!
