We would like to thank everyone that participated in the Love Our Waterways cleanup on Grand Isle State Park's shore. We were able to collect a large amount of trash from the beach with the help of staff, camphosts, camping guests, and volunteers. We look forward to an even larger group next year.

As the National Association of State Parks Directors Conference wraps up, I want to give a special shoutout to our amazing team at Louisiana State Parks!

Under the leadership of Brandon Burris, Assistant Secretary of Louisiana State Parks, this amazing group has truly gone above and beyond to keep our parks clean, cared for, and fun for all to enjoy.

As the Sportsman's Paradise, our outdoor landscapes, parks, and historic sites are some of the most valuable resources Louisiana has to offer. I am beyond grateful for Brandon and his team's hard work and dedication in taking care of them!

🇺🇸 25 Years — We Will Never Forget

Today, Grand Isle State Park joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the courage of the first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans who answered an unimaginable tragedy with extraordinary bravery.

Twenty-five years have passed, but the memory of that day—and the spirit of unity that followed—remains with us.

May we continue to honor those we lost, remember those who served and sacrificed, and carry forward the strength and compassion that brought our nation together.

September 11, 2001 — 25 Years. Always in Our Hearts.

🇺🇸 We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.
