The Clifton Community Center is experiencing a power outage in the entire building. This means that our Motor Vehicle office is not operating at the moment. Our main office in Grand Junction and our Fruita office are open. Sorry for the inconvinence, we will uppdate once we have an ETA on the outage.

Interested in seeing how elections work in Mesa County? Sign up for an election tour! Join us on either October 26 or October 27 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm for a behind-the-scenes look at how ballots are securely received from drop boxes, processed, and counted during an active election.

Tours are free and open to the public, but space is limited and advance registration is required. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the safeguards in place to ensure accurate and transparent elections. Tours are held at the Mesa County Central Services building (west entrance) at 200 S Spruce Street in Grand Junction.

A bipartisan test board publicly tested Mesa County's election equipment yesterday in preparation for the November 3, 2026, General Election. One test deck of ballots supplied by the county covered every combination and configuration a voter might choose. Each testing board representative also filled out a test deck, totaling three decks. The decks were tallied and tabulated, totals were verified, and adjudication logs were reviewed. Every test ballot in each of the three test decks was scanned and tabulated with 100% accuracy.

Our main Motor Vehicle office at 200 S Spruce Street in Grand Junction will be closed at noon Wednesday, September 16th for staff training.

Our new Clifton location at the Clifton Community Center at 3270 D 1/2 Road will remain open all day.

Our main Motor Vehicle office will open back up to normal business hours on Thursday September 17th.

Our Clifton Motor Vehicle office has moved! Come visit us at the Clifton Community Center located at 3270 D 1/2 Road. The Clifton office is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 to 4:30.

**REMINDER**

Starting on September 1, 2026 all of our Motor Vehicle locations will only conduct VIN inspections on the following vehicles:

-Passenger Vehicles
-Light Trucks
-Motorcycles

All other vehicles and trailers will need to go to your local law enforcement for VIN inspections. You can set appointments with them and they can travel to your house to complete the VIN inspections.
