In a heartfelt tribute to Patriot Day, the dedicated staff at VA Western Colorado came together today for a memorial stair climb. This powerful event was held to honor the brave souls who sacrificed everything on September 11, 2001. Climbing the equivalent of 110 stories, participants paid their respects and remembered the resilience and courage shown by first responders and civilians alike. Their commitment serves as a poignant reminder of the unity and strength that emerged from tragedy. We are grateful for our team's participation and their unwavering dedication to honoring our nation's heroes. 🇺🇸

Today the National Park Service presented a beautiful canvas to our Director, created by Veterans in the Colorado National Monument Resiliency Ranger Program in honor of Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

Local Veterans painted and colored the artwork while harnessing the healing power of spending time in the outdoors.

The Resiliency Ranger Program offers Veterans targeted interpretive sessions that promote mindfulness, community connectivity, and stewardship.

The Women Veteran Appreciation event connects and celebrates Women Veterans through holistic services. It promotes wellness and encourages a supportive space for connecting Veterans with programs.

The retreat offers relief from stress and helps eliminate barriers to care.

This event will be on September 19th from 11:00AM to 12:30PM and held at the Moose Lodge in Grand Junction.
